Two people who don't believe in Christmas or miracles...
Retired from special forces and back on his family’s Texas ranch, Chance Rafferty’s finally found some peace through creating a foundation to rescue and retrain military K-9s thought to be beyond redemption. He prefers to be left alone with his dogs and his work, but when a woman arrives shortly before Christmas looking for the dog that saved her husband’s life, Chance is astonished at the dog's—and his own—response to her.
Though it’s been years, Ariel Larson still dreads the Christmas season because it marks the anniversary of her deployed husband's death. When she learns her husband’s K-9 partner survived combat, Ariel feels she’s been given a lifeline to escape her grief. She suddenly has a sense of purpose she’s been desperately missing. But she never expected the man determined to rehabilitate the traumatized animal would have such a stunning impact on her own life.
Can these two wounded hearts come together to create their own Christmas miracle?

Texas Christmas Miracle
Gotta love this lady, Justine Davis, her novels. Thank you for all the wonderful hours I spend in your worlds.
A widow, Ariel, comes looking for her husband’s war dog who was badly wounded when her husband was killed in action. The grumpy veteran, Chance Rafferty has set up a place on the family ranch for the wounded war dogs that he tries to rehabilitate and then find loving homes for the animals. Christmas is a time of miracles for both humans and animals. Enjoy!
Really loved this story
Really loved this story, it was born of tragedy & pain all around. Heartache & grief from loss is the center of this story as Ariel, Chance & Tri deal with the ravages from war. Former military, Chance now rehabilitates Military War Dogs & Tri is his present mission, a dog damaged from an explosion that killed his handler & Chance’s friend. Chance’s guilt over not being able to stop the mission makes him fight even harder for the damaged Tri & when the widow of Tri’s handler & Chance’s friend shows up to adopt Tri, everything changes for Chance & Tri. As Ariel learns how to deal with Tri, she also learns that her heart & soul didn’t die along with her husband. Watching both Ariel & Chance realize that their hearts & souls could still feel & love was beautiful. I enjoyed following the journey that Ariel & Chance took that led them & Tri to a Christmas miracle. Definitely recommend. Thank you to Tule publishing for letting me read this book for an honest review.
