Marriage of convenience to love
Adeline is a heroine who refuses to succumb to her fate. She is someone who makes the best of what she has been offered. When her father and step mother try to marry her off to a cruel and vicious earl, Adeline stages getting caught in Mr. Atwood’s chambers. But she ends up with The Mad Duke and is given two choices. To face ruin or marry the duke.
The Mad Duke, who has loved and lost in the past, marries Adeline because he needs a mother for his two daughters and when Adeline is caught in his chambers, it is the perfect solution to his problems.
What follows is a blooming romance where a newly wed couple find love and passion unexpectedly. I have ofcourse read similar plots in regency romances, and though it is definitely not my favourite in this genre ( regency romance with marriages of convenience) it is definitely up there in the top five.
