Advancement of Ecology

An ‘All India Symposium on advancement of Ecology’ was organised in the campus of D. A. V. College, Muzaffarnagar in December, 1976. The symposium was financially supported by University Grants Commission. Nearly one hundred ecologists from all parts of the country and one foreign participants (U. S. A.) attended the three days meet. In three academic sessions 85 papers were presented by the participants. Seeing the quality of papers; it was a general recommendation of all the ecologists, in the concluding session, that the proceedings of the symposium should be published in a book form. Some invited papers from eminent persons has also been included in the proceedings. In the proceedings only 50 papers are selected after editing by expert ecologists.
