Agent of Fate

Before the creation of Adam, there were two races of men that succeeded each other on Earth; the Devs, who reigned for 7,000 years and the Peris, who reigned 2,000 years. The Devs were giants, strong and wicked. The Peris were small but wise and kind. Gyan, King of the Peris, had true occult wisdom. He had a shield more famous than Achilles, but instead of defending against an enemy in war, it served as protection against black magic, the sorcery of the Devs. Even the magic shield of the Devs, produced on the principles of astrology, could destroy charms, enchantments and evil spells but could not prevail against Iblis, Agent of Fate.
