Air-Sea Rescue

This book gives the story of the important role played by Britain's Air-Sea Rescue Services during the Second World War. 

It provides the reader with an insight into the dangers that R.A.F. personnel faced when the need arose to ditch their craft. The training and equipment are described and this is illustrated with real stories of rescues with both happy and tragic endings. 

Many men were saved by this organisation to fight again. This book shines a bit of light onto a service which is sometimes forgotten.
