All for a Song

When Bud Davidge and Sim Savoury formed Simani in 1977, they began a musical journey that would help define the sound of Newfoundland and Labrador. Nearly five decades later, the songs continue to resonate with audiences at home and around the world.

All for a Song brings together, for the first time, the complete lyrics from Bud Davidge's remarkable career, accompanied by the stories behind the songs and reflections from friends and fellow musicians. Featuring beloved classics such as Music and Friends, Outport People, Black and White, and the enduring Any Mummers 'Lowed In, this collection celebrates the people, places, and traditions that inspired a lifetime of songwriting.

A tribute to one of Newfoundland and Labrador's most cherished musical voices, All for a Song is both a keepsake for long-time fans and a celebration of a legacy still being written.
