Altar to an Erupting Sun

A provocative tale of climate action, sacrifice, and the search for meaning in a disrupted world.
In 2023, veteran activist Rae Kelliher faces a terminal diagnosis and makes a shocking decision: to commit a suicide murder, targeting an oil company CEO for delaying climate action. Seven years later, her community gathers to grapple with the consequences of her act.

Altar to an Erupting Sun explores the complexities of social movements, the ethics of radical action, and the search for hope in a near-future world reshaped by climate disruption. Through the eyes of Rae's friends and family, Collins weaves a story of resilience, resistance, and the enduring power of community. A thought-provoking read for those grappling with the climate crisis and the choices we face.
