This souvenir book from 1907 includes a collection of contemporary photographs of historical sites. The author writes with "an idea of freshening certain important historical events associated with the Virginia Peninsula, 'The Cradle of the Republic.'" This publication fits in with the larger fascination with Jamestown that emerged at the turn of the 20th century at the 300-year anniversary of the landing at Jamestown.
