    Very useful

A very useful book indeed. Good to have information from a reliable academic source. No need to have an Internet connection either, just download at home or the hotel and go. The audio component was excellent and very useful.

An Interactive Guide to Angkor Wat

I purchased the "Interactive Guide to Angkor Wat" before I left for Cambodia. The book is well laid out and uses all the neat features with iBooks such as interactive map displays, audio clips and handy tips tabs. I really recommend reading the introductory and the general information section before you arrive at the temples. It gives you a great orientation along with advice on when to visit which temples to avoid the crowds as much as possible.

Before I did the visits I downloaded the iBooks onto my iPhone and brought some headphones to listen to the audio sections on the temples. This way it was more mobile than my iPad. I enjoyed the audio portion as well as reading the illustrations during the various temple visits. It was like having your own tour guide with you as your toured the various temples. As an example the Angkor Wat section gives you a birds eye view of how enormous the temple is and then you can drill right down to specific gallery and pavilion for descriptive information on a specific area such as "the churning of the ocean of milk"

If you are planning a visit to Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom or the surrounding temples; this is the guide you need to get for exploring and experiencing these wonderful and amazing temples.
