Something strange is happening in Livingston County, Missouri—bounced checks, disappearances, and one man who just keeps on showing up. Earl Calroy, a 70-something with a bad temper and a past, knows something, but he isn’t talking.


Deputy Trevor Collins is following the threads of this case, but nothing seems to add up with random crime constantly breaking the pattern. He came out here for some peace and quiet, to escape that life of high crime in the cities, but it all seems to come rushing back.
