Angels Unaware

In a Pennsylvania mining town during the Depression, love and hardship intertwine. Darcy Willickers, along with her unusual mother and sisters, lives at the Hospitality Inn, a dilapidated hotel that mysteriously attracts misfit wayfarers instead of paying guests. Trying to keep her family fed and a roof over their heads is hard enough for Darcy.

But then Luca D'Angeli, a handsome young Italian immigrant, steps into Darcy's precarious life. He has no idea that loving Darcy may well destroy them both. This lyrical historical fiction explores themes of family, poverty, and the search for belonging in a character-driven narrative. Will Darcy and Luca find happiness amidst the challenges of their time? Or will the secrets of the past tear them apart?
