Simply wonderful!

I never thought I would find a better Prince Charming than Mr Darcy, and then I met Gilbert Blythe! Anne is in so many ways a description of so many young girls, including myself. I started reading Anne of Green Gables a couple of months ago and couldn't stop, then Anne of Avonlea and now Anne of the Island. I can't wait to read the fourth book. I'm 36 now, but I recommend them for people of all ages. Anne and her adventures are simply wonderful!
