U.S. Marine Lt. Colonel Nick Palermo is sent to Cairo, Egypt, to find an elusive airplane mechanic, Bashir Yassin, who is believed to have extensive knowledge of subversive activities in the mid-east war zone. Nick's prowling the streets of Cairo brings him into the conflict with the Egyptian police, Islamic terrorists, and international arms dealers who want Bashir dead. To deliver him alive to the CIA, Nick is forced to become Bashir's protector. That makes Nick the enemy of Bashir's enemies and leads to mistrust of Nick's loyalty to the CIA. What Nick thought would be a simple track-down of an airplane mechanic turns into a bloody nightmare.
