Asking for a Friend by Ali Parker
Enjoyable and well written but I don’t like these instalment type books if you can call it that...more like third of a book. Why do you have to but one or two more books to find out how I the story ends? I don’t feel invested to continue...more like I wasted an hour. Honestly, I often get hooked on the stories by the authors who have generously given the free book and then about eight chapters of the following next one...by then it feels almost like I’ve been following a soap opera and I’ve got to know what is going to happen next in the lives of these characters, so this book just doesn’t do it for me.
