Awakening Through Direct Experience

People from all walks of life are embracing the spiritual path. After we glimpse the innermost being, it is no longer possible to sleepwalk on the surface level of worldly things.

In this hybrid spiritual memoir, Michael takes us on his transformational journey, one that will resonate with many people who are awakening. It includes his formative early years, the subsequent seeking in the doors of Christianity, his immersion in yoga, meditation, self-inquiry, and his ever-deepening abidance in the natural state of peace. The spiritual masters' direct transformative power infuses the reader throughout the narrative.

True courage and the light of awareness are crucial fuel for the journey. Even the sidetracks, pitfalls, stagnation, and struggles we encounter are really aids that help us discover what we really are.

The manuscript will strongly resonate with spiritually oriented readers (and listeners) who are interested in meditation, yoga, Christian mysticism, Vedanta, Buddhism, trauma healing, and alternative spiritual communities. The book especially suits those drawn to East-West spirituality, with practical reflections on relationships, emotional healing, and integrating mystical experiences into ordinary life.
