The 9 books of Baby Yellow is the imaginary story of a six year old boy named Baby Yellow who has some very big feelings. Each book is a series of drawings that Baby Yellow has made about those feelings.


Baby Yellow drew all his feelings on two tablets using two applications over a period of two years. He remained 6 years old throughout that time. Then suddenly one day, while practicing tai chi and drawing his feelings at the same time as having them, The 9 books of Baby Yellow were revealed to him. Baby Yellow wanted to share these books and he was so happy that they were ebooks because that is what all the other children were reading at the time...


Please know, these books are not for children. The books express feelings of a very big nature. The nature is so big that sometimes you cannot see the ends of it and it feels like you are standing in the middle of nothingness. Please know, Baby Yellow has drawn many pictures from within that nothingness.

Each book in the series has been numbered by Baby Yellow but should be read and enjoyed in any order that the viewer desires. 


Ryan Arenson is the artist, author and publisher of The 9 books of Baby Yellow. Ryan has worked as a professional artist for the past 15 years. Respecting the right of each individual to tell their own story, in their own way, and for every artist to publish their own work, Ryan decided to explore the creative and critical potential of artist ebooks. Ryan Arenson lives in Johannesburg, South Africa, with Baby Yellow and his dog Balanchine.
