In literature, Symbolism expresses ideas, feelings and visions, vague and often exquisite and intricate, by means of symbols. A symbol, the polysemantic allegory, a poetic image expressing an essence of an event or notion; in poetry it gives an idea of some personal, often immediate notions from a poet.
