Young Ryan Woods thought his troubles were over when his father died. They were just starting. For his father is none other than the ancient folklore character The Boogeyman and he has come back from hell to feed off the fears of friends and neighbors in the small town of Waverly, Missouri and it's up to Ryan, along with his doubting mother and a lonely priest she likes, to stop him. His father can senses others fears, control creatures of the night, and even possess the weak willed and use their bodies for his own evil deeds. Now Ryan must tap into the dark powers he got from his father and use them to stop him before his father achieves the ultimate goal. To possess Ryan himself and become twice as powerful and continue his killing spree for another life time.
