So good
Very good read, couldn’t put it down
Terrible.
I cannot comprehend how this book has such a high rating, because it is terrible. The premise is good but I feel like I was reading a rough draft. It’s so poorly written in every way. The grammar is atrocious, the storyline weak and the scene setting is horrible. It needs a good editor and a re-write. It’s filled with run-on sentences and the author constantly switches between using difference tenses. Sometimes in the same sentence! The grammatical errors are so distracting. Here are a few fun examples: “Violet eyes clashed with midnight ones, glowing as his hair rose as power thrummed in the air, as it bit my flesh as if I was being shocked a multitude of times.” or “My f**cking hand! It’s like it doesn’t even register that I’m touching me”. Really? I paid for this? The grammar is one thing, but the whole story is so poorly pieced together that I couldn’t even continue reading it. I forced myself to the halfway point and then threw in the towel. I read about 40 books per year. Some good, some not so good. I have never given up on reading a book before; I hate feeling like I wasted money.
