Not great. Not even good.
The story was flat, superficial and lifeless. Character development was non-existent. The story didn’t draw me in and the writing felt very juvenile. It seems like this book is part of a series, although the book title and publisher’s description doesn’t indicate that it is. I was able to read it as a stand alone, but it really felt like I walked into the middle of a story and a quick re-cap was shoved in my face. I’m giving it two stars because perhaps it is part of a series and the character development happened in other books. If this is a stand-alone, it’s truly terrible. All around it’s a boring book to read.
