Heartfelt
Beth had a terrible secret from her childhood, so terrible she equates it with locking up demons in a castle that come out unexpectedly and must be kept hidden at all costs - from herself and others. The only problem is that she is carrying twins as a surrogate to her best friend and so running away from her new relationships is not an option. Especially from Raph, the hunky hockey player who is determined to show his love and commitment to her. Vaguely repetitious but heartfelt nonetheless. In the end they both exorcise their demons - him by meeting his 2 younger stepbrothers and moving past the hurt of his mother’s abandonment of him and her through a Counsellor and the love and acceptance of her new ‘family’ of close friends and colleagues. And Raph. A feel good story.
