Beyond the Battle Line‪:‬

An autobiography of a Korean American psychiatrist, whose
life was fi lled with valiant struggles, courage, endurance,
and achievement, love and compassion. Dr. Kim witnessed
an epochal panorama of the rapid social/political changes
in modern Korea including the Korean War, during which
his mother was kidnapped by the North Korean security
agents, and he participated in the massive marine Hungnam
Evacuation. Later he made his U.S. immigrant life a success
story by contributing to his profession and the mainstream
society with dedication and passion.
