Helena Fey is a modern, independent young woman with interesting domestic arrangements that fully support her chosen profession. Not everyone she encounters is happy with her choices, and she could always do with an extra someone to watch her back.

Enter solitary James - he prefers brains to brawn, but has rather lost his way in life even before it got under way. He needs saving, but the enemy inside is half the battle.

Thrown together by circumstance, James is certainly gallant enough to be Helena's White Knight, but he has competition within and without, and in the face of armed and psychotic criminals, such gallantry is likely to prove very short-lived.

Born in Salisbury, author A. B. Snow draws on his experiences both at home and abroad, in military as well as civilian life. He describes the locations of his debut novel as a blend of Wiltshire and Somerset.
