Blackfern

There's trouble in the Trossachs ...  It is 1885 and the newspapers headlines are turbulent. A shock general election is called; the nation is terrorised by a Fenian bombing campaign; the menace of anarchy looms – and it is unusually cold for the time of year. Flora and her uncle Mac travel to Scotland under the guise of a fern survey, but there is skulduggery afoot. As mischief, magic, and mayhem spread, the McPhairson party must race against time – with help from an unlikely ally – to unmask the culprits and prevent disaster.
