Fantastic stuff!
I absolutely love this series. The prose is accessible to anyone, makes it a simple read- but a relaxing and enjoyable one as well. Knowing the real events does not ruin this series at all- the author tweaks the timeline here and there, does some cut and pasting, and crucially adds a couple of characters along the way to give him some freedom. It's all to the good in the end.
