The last thing cowboy Campbell Halley wants to do is go back to his tiny hometown during one of rodeo's busiest seasons to help out an old friend. An old ex. Who he hasn't spoken to since he left town. But when his momma lays on the guilt, Cam returns to his old stomping ground to do just that. But he doesn't have to be happy about it.

Mitch Gonzales is on his last leg. He's broke, he broke his back falling off a roof, and his daughters are growing up wild without a mom and trying to take care of him. So when Ca shows up, he's uneasy, but he can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

It doesn't take long for Cam and Mitch to remember why they cared for each other so much all those years ago, but things are different now. Mitch has three little girls who could also fall in love with Cam and get their hearts broken, and Cam isn't really the settling down type. Or is he?
