Publisher Description
Sometimes you gotta toss your whole life into a burning dumpster to find what’s most important...
Beatrice Archer has always done everything she’s supposed to —worked her ass off, ignored her non-existent personal life, and kept her mouth shut. Now she’s over it. The rat race, respectability…the underwire bras. She’s taking her life back. Starting with moving to Nowhere, Colorado to live life on her own terms.
Now Bea gives exactly zero forks. Beer for breakfast. Sugar for everything else. Baggy sweats and soft cotton undies FTW. Then a much younger and delightfully attractive cop is called to deal with her flagrant disregard for appropriate clothing outside the local diner (some folks just don’t appreciate bunny slippers) and Bea realizes there’s something missing from her little decathlon of decadence…and he might be the guy to help her out.
When it comes to breaking rules, Officer Austin Cooper is surprisingly eager to assist. He’s charming, a little bit cowboy, and a whole lot sexy. But Bea’s about to discover that breaking the rules has consequences. And all of the cherry pies in Colorado can’t save her from what’s coming…
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Andrews (Playing It Safe) proves herself a master of romantic banter in this snappy small-town tale. When Beatrice "Bea" Archer is once again passed over for a promotion, despite over a decade of loyalty and hard work, she quits her job, throws a dart at a map, and moves where it lands—quiet Credence, Colo.—trading pencil skirts, trendy health food, and the 9 to 5, for sweatpants, copious amounts of sugar, and binging all 15 seasons of Supernatural. When she finally leaves her apartment, a concerned resident alerts local police about the disheveled stranger double-fisting ice cream cones on the sidewalk. The cop who arrives is the very attractive Austin Cooper, who finds the situation amusing more than anything else. After proclaiming herself a rule breaker, Bea demands that Austin arrest her for her petty crimes. Instead, Austin offers to help her accomplish some of the more legal items on her bucket list. While Bea's happy to have a friendly face in town, she's determined to keep things platonic, as Austin is a decade younger than she is—but their chemistry proves hard to resist. The abrupt third-act conflict seems to come out of nowhere for both characters, but there's no denying their flirtatious connection. This is a treat.

Breaking all the Rules
Terrific … so glad to see the folks from Credence again. Hopefully there will be more books about the town.
Another can’t put down by author Amy Andrews
I really enjoyed this book, it’s another can’t put it down because it’s so good offering from author Amy Andrews. Bea was just a straight up laugh out loud gotta love her character. Her abrupt change from neat & tidy to being a who cares if there’s a mess deal with it type was hilarious.. I loved how she didn’t care about how she looked at all, it was a breath of fresh air. The first meeting of Bea & Austin was definitely laugh out loud funny. Her sugar requirement has her standing outside of Annie’s licking not 1 but 2 dripping ice cream cones & holding a bag of slices of pie in floppy eared bunny slippers, sweats & a beer stained t-shirt, as officer Austin pulls up to check out the calls about a very strange woman. What happens next is hilarious as Austin ends up taking her to jail because she wants it. It’s definitely very clear that the sensual tension between Bea & Austin is strong, but Bea’s family history is not letting it go any further than mutual benefits. I really enjoyed watching the changes that Austin brought out in Bea as they grew closer together until it was pushed to the breaking point as Bea is offered what she thought was her lifelong dream. This book is wonderfully funny, sweet & sexy......definitely recommend. I voluntarily read this book for an honest review.
