Suspenseful and Intriguing!
This is the second book in the Stark Security Series. I love this romantic suspense! Both Denise and Mason are great characters. I love their chemistry. Their story is breathtaking, and beautiful. The storyline is intriguing, fast-paced, action packed, and captivating. I also liked the short prequel of this story, Shadows of You. The secondary characters are also very interesting. J. Kenner never disappoints, and I totally recommend this story. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Ruined With You.

4.5 stars--BROKEN WITH YOU is the second instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult STARK SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series-a spin off from the author’s numerous Stark Series. This is Special Forces soldier Mason, and his wife, Stark Security specialist Denise ‘Denny’ Walker’s story line. BROKEN WITH YOU can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history. Denny and Mason’s story begins in the prequel, short story SHADOWS OF YOU (Stark Security .5)
Told from first person point of view (Denny), and third person Mason aka Jack, BROKEN WITH YOU follows the rekindling relationship between spouses Mason and Denise ‘Denny’ Walker. Mason Walker has been on assignment for close to two years but for a few hours in February would have to last Denny a lifetime when her husband disappeared, once again. Fast forward to present day wherein Denny’s husband would return a different man, a man who can no longer remember who he is, or the wife that he once loved. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Denny and Mason, and the potential fall-out as the ramifications of Mason’s last assignment threaten the woman he loves, and the possibility of thousands of other lives.
Denny Walker struggles with the absence of her husband, a man with whom she is deeply in love, but a man whose assignment has placed him in the direct line of fire. Mason Walker returned home to the unfamiliar: from the loss of information and knowledge, to the unknown including the missing years he spent with his wife, Mason battles between head and heart knowing that if and when the memories return, it may trigger a fall-out unlike anyone could have imagined.
The relationship between Denny and Mason is a rekindling romance, friendship, and relationship between a man whose memories have been wiped by an unknown source, and a woman who remembers everything but has been cautioned to reveal nothing to the man that she loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to Denny’s Stark Security co-workers and team: Quincy Radcliffe and Eliza Tucker, as well as Eliza’s sister Emma; Liam Foster, Ryan Hunter, Cass, Sylvia, Colonel Anderson Seagrave, Peter and Cerise, Nikki and Damien Stark.
BROKEN WITH YOU is an emotional and heart breaking story line of betrayal and second chances; an intriguing and twisted look at power and control; vengeance, wrath and treason. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is spicy and hot; the characters are broken, energetic and strong.
