Tangled Promise
Every time I finish a book in this world, I discover that I know all kinds of new swear words that I didn’t realize I knew. The story sucked me deep into the seething emotions, the promises made and broken, and the betrayals. There’s very little I can say about the details of the book that won’t be considered spoilers. What I can say with certainty is that at the end of this book I’m emotionally exhausted, my mind is broken, my heart is bleeding, and I can’t wait for the next book to be published so I can do it all over again.
Fallen Love
What?! Name an emotion. That’s what I’m feeling right now. Dazed, confused, frustrated, numb, shocked, baffled. I’m currently covering the full spectrum of possible feelings now that I’ve reached the end of this book. I was in no way prepared for where this story would take me. A few of those places, I would have preferred not to have gone to. And now, I’m more than a little terrified to see where the next book is going to go.
Broken Anchor
It’s bittersweet reaching the conclusion of this series. There have been a lot of twists and turns getting here along with more than a few spins on an emotional roller-coaster. Too many? Maybe. For me, I would have preferred a couple fewer twists, turns, and double-crosses. I loved seeing Zeke finally get his happy ending. And I enjoyed seeing my favorite members of the Black empire again. Though, stressing me out with the fates of Enzo, Kai, and Langston was not nice at all.
