Bruin

Daylon, a young man form Missouri, is transplanted to New York where he learns his years will be cut short by an inoperable brain tumor. One afternoon on a hike forced upon him by his friend, Marcy, his world is turned on its head, with his life changing in ways no one could believe. Shortly after that day, extraordinary abilities are discovered and he eventually transforms in to Bruin, New York's first real superhero.

Eventually, his regular life interacts his superhero world when his new boyfriend's father enters the picture. The chaos that follows ends in an unexpected way. When a collector learns about Bruin, and he thinks victory is again at hand, the rug is pulled out from under him and his teammates.
