Publisher Description
Beautiful and delicious gluten-free, grain-free, and dairy-free recipes, fully endorsed by Whole30.
As millions of people know, one of the toughest things about completing the Whole30 is figuring out what to eat the other 335 days of the year. Kirsten Buck, creator of Buck Naked Kitchen, struggled with her weight and chronic eczema for years before she transformed her life through food. She adopted a mostly paleo way of eating--gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, healthy fats, no refined sugars--and experienced dramatic weight loss. Soon after she went on to win the first-ever "Next Whole30 Star" competition and is now a certified holistic nutritionist, sharing delicious and beautiful recipes on her blog and Instagram with thousands of fans. From her Pesto Chicken Salad Sandwich for lunch, to Moroccan Lamb Stew for dinner, to the stunning Summer Berry Galette to satisfy your sweet tooth, there is something for every taste. In addition, there are recipe basics for making your own mayo, yogurt, salad dressings, tahini, and more, which prove that healthy eating doesn't have to break the bank.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In this accessible debut, Buck, creator of the Buck Naked Kitchen blog, shares healthy, tasty meals based on the Whole30 lifestyle. While not all recipes strictly adhere to the Whole30 plan, those that do are called out and include such inventive creations as rutabaga fritters and flavor-packed chimichurri shrimp, as well as portable, prepped meals including Faux Pho Noodle Soup and a Tex-Mex Jar Salad. Can't-miss dishes spring vegetable quiche; smashed potatoes with roasted red pepper sauce; deviled egg potato salad; and a butternut squash and wild rice salad will be welcomed by vegetarians and omnivores alike. Throughout, Buck includes several made-from-scratch recipes (mayonnaise and cauliflower rice, for example), as well as some higher-end recipes (Mini Scotch Eggs calls for quail eggs). Virtually all ingredients are easily sourced (substitutions, in some cases, are provided), and there are recipes for all tastes and skill levels. Readers Whole30 adherents or not will find plenty of healthful recipes in this fun and encouraging volume.

Look no further… you’ve found your next cookbook!
I've been following Kirsten Buck for a while on Instagram and when I found out she was releasing a cookbook I was a little apprehensive. Many Instagram bloggers and "influencers" put out cookbooks that, in my opinion, are hard to follow or list ingredients that you just can't find in northern Canada. I can honestly say Kirsten's recipes have exceeded my expectations with her beautiful pictures, easy to follow instructions and simple, easy to find, whole food ingredients. Kirsten's stories about how she got started, as well as her recipes, are interesting, genuine, and relatable- just like her. Well done Kirsten! I'm looking forward to the next one :)
