Bulb Gardening

A color-illustrated volume, Bulb Gardening explains the advantages of using bulbs in gardening instead of seeds. A relatively new concept at the time of the work's publication in 1922, bulb gardening used bulbs, small stems with strong leaves at the base, to grow flowers like tulips and lilies and vegetables and spices like onions and garlic. The bulbed plants would typically grow more quickly and gardeners would use the strong, fleshy leaves to store food.
