Busted

Ruby Innes is aimless. She's in with the wrong crowd, but who cares, they're the only friends she has. Her parents can't get her to self-motivate, and instead she's running around spray painting the undersides of bridges. She's developed a shoplifting habit that ends abruptly at the mall when someone sees how many electronics she has hidden in her hoodie pockets. Embarrassed and furious at herself, Ruby enters the court system with little help from her parents, despite still living at home. But, instead of serving 6 months in county jail, she's offered a deal. And so, Ruby begins a new chapter of her life that she didn't want and is mortified her friends will find out about. She doesn't know that this might be the life she's been waiting for.
