“Calculated risk” (complete series) by Rachel Duncan
You can really feel the chemistry and connection between Lydia and Marcus. You REALLY want Lydia to cave in and go on a date with Marcus. I LOVE Marcus’s persistence. Then the story gets kinda boring. Not much happens. Marcus’s lying is dealt with in a few paragraphs. It could’ve been easily edited out. Lydia has SERIOUS trust issues. I’m amazed Marcus forgave her so easily. Wow, Lydia was easy to overpower. Why didn’t Marcus try to disarm Stacy? Stupid. Talk about a long engagement. The story was a bit disappointing.
Just an aside: 1) I find it interesting how many people have headboards that allow the use of handcuffs. 2) Why is it that every character has bottles of water in their fridge? For as much water as they drink, they’d need a case in their fridge. Do you know how much room that takes up? There wouldn’t be any room for food!
