Good story
This book was good, this was my first time reading author Melinda Curtis. I enjoyed the story but found it moved very slowly & I was a little let down with how it ended. I don’t think that Drew & Lola kissed more than 3xs in the entire story. It was definitely a fun story but also had its hints of drama & sadness. I enjoyed the quirkinesses of Lola & the stubbornness of Drew, as well as the matchmaking of the Widows Club & the sweetness & spunk of little Becky. There were many funny moments & sad moments during this book but the take away for me was, a father loving his daughter to the point he’d put his own happiness aside to make sure she stayed safely with him. I voluntarily reviewed this book from the publisher through Net Galley for an honest review.
