It was a good read..
I dislike when Gideon uses the C u next Tuesday word. The sex scenes bring me in than that word is mentioned and I frown and the magic is gone for me. Sorry Sylvia
Crossroads Series book 4
Whole series is great. Overkill with the sex scenes, but I understood why the author chose to incorporate the scenes so Eva and Gideon could fight their ghosts and developed the love they felt. I would be interested to know if sexually abused survivors are similar to these book characters who are emotionally charged and sexually stimulated to their loving partners? The abuse scenes were disturbing knowing they were children in both cases. In our world today, more and more of the things are happening to women and children. I really wish all the laws in all countries would take away their manhood to stop the violence rather than fill the jails with scum.I have read this book 4 times, Sylvia Day wrote a great series based on an controversial problem. It was a eye opener with a HEA. Wish you would write more books like this series …..
Disappointed 😞
I want to begin by saying I am a diehard fan of this story. The first 3 books captivated me and I read them numerous times, as I couldn't get enough of Gideon and Ava.
I was itching to get my hands on the 4th books. The second it came out, I was glued to my iPad with a "do not disturb" sign on my door.
The 4th book had pros and cons for me. For starters, I loved that the story was told from Gideon's POV. I thought it added depth to his character and shifted my perspective on their issues.
The con for me was that there wasn't much of a story here. There wasn't really a climax or an incident that defines this book.This story had so much potential and in comparisons to the first 3 books, I felt it really feel flat. My initial impression after reading this books was, "Wow, Sylvia Day released a book just for the sake of releasing a book. Where's the actual story here?"
I enjoyed the first 3 books a lot more. Let's hope the last installment of this book doesn't disappoint.
