Cassie and the Woolf

Now that Cassie Cloak is thirteen, she's old enough to go to downtown Forestville on her own to pick up groceries for her grandmother. She's also old enough not to get caught in the rain. So when a storm kicks up, she takes shelter fast. Little does she know she's left herself prey to Caleb Woolf.

Fresh from his basketball game, Caleb is starving! He certainly doesn't need the hassle of going home to deal with his mother and her boyfriend to get some grub. So he strikes up a conversation with Cassie while sniffing out the contents of her grocery bags, then takes off for granny's house before Cassie can get there. Once Granny is all tied up, all he has to do is wait for Cassie to show up . . .

Cassie is furious—as is her grandmother—when Caleb steals the meal they planned to share.  And in these modern times, there's only one thing for two scorned women to do when a Woolf gets the best of them: seek revenge.
