Publisher Description
This was supposed to be the summer of freedom. Instead, it became the summer that wrecked everything.
One minute I’m ready for pool days and late-night drives with my best friends. The next, I’m on a bus to Feather Lake, North Carolina—exiled by my parents with two suitcases and zero warning. No friends. No way out. Just a job I didn’t ask for and a summer I definitely didn’t want.
Enter Ryder Monroe: local heartthrob, full-time menace, and my personal brand of chaos.
He’s infuriating, impossible to read, and somehow always exactly where I don’t want him to be. I swore I wouldn’t fall for the brooding boy with a twisted smile and too many secrets. But it only took two days for Ryder to crash into my life—and start tearing it apart from the inside out.
Now I’m caught between a boy who feels like sunshine and safety… and the one who feels like a storm I can’t stop chasing.
He wants to ruin me. I won’t let him.
But what if the worst thing he could do… is make me feel everything?
This summer, love is messy. Hearts will break. And nothing will ever be the same.
Cast Away is a tale of love, rivalry, and unexpected connections, where the line between enemies and something more blurs in the heat of a North Carolina summer. Get ready for a story of passion, defiance, and heartache that will leave you breathless. This is book one in the Wrecked series.

Start of a new young adult series - ending with a cliffhanger!
…so, before you dive in, know that this is just book one and ends with a cliffhanger!
I love Emmanuelle Snow and everything she writes. Most of her books are adult romance (heavily emotional with very deep themes), but this one is young adult. Part one is the introduction of the characters and the world of Feather Lake, NC, where Ava is “Cast Away” by her parents (to go spend the summer with her Aunt and Uncle in her own hometown), meets Joseph on the bus on the way to move in with his dad and new stepmom, and they strike up a friendship.
Her summer is to be working at her uncle’s shop, learning small business, but she meets his employee Ryder - her new enemy, but someone her aunt and uncle have taken under their wing like a son… so she has to see a lot of the guy and play fake friends.
Spending the summer as fake friends (but enemies) with Ryder and friends, trying to date Joseph from the neighboring town is starting off as an interesting love triangle storyline - I can’t wait to see where the storyline goes and what plans Emmanuelle has in store for where she’s taking us on what is sure to be a very emotional roller coaster! I have several theories that I need to find out if they’re right or not!
Thanks for the advance copy, Emmanuelle! Looking forward to the next book (ugh, cliffhangers)!
