I agree with the previous comment regarding the use of the term “Tar Sands”. That is a fabricated term created for the purpose of denigrating Canadian oil production. “Tar” has nothing to do with oil. Tar is manufactured from peat moss or pine trees.

The references to Alberta Oil Sands as tar sand is offensive to me. It represents an uniformed narrative propagated by special interest groups. The oil sands bitumen is produce with less emissions the California oil and oil from Venezuela.
We are ethical and environmentally conscious in producing this resource and share the wealth with our fellow country persons. Unlike some of the other energy producers in the world.
