In the series finale, Samantha must overcome the trauma of a horrifying crash while her racing team is on the brink of liquidation during her third season to become the first female Formula One World Champion. The last book of the Skid series finds Samantha at her lowest point, recovering in a Paris hospital with a shattered body and facial scarring from a horrific crash. As her mother pleads with her to finally leave racing behind, Samantha must decide if she's willing to make a return to Formula One. Her recovery is complicated by a cutthroat legal battle inside the Wolert family that could lead to the team's liquidation.
