Charles Crain Photography

This retrospective represents a sampling of work spanning four decades of photography. Beginning in the late '60's, Charles started by capturing everyday street life, documenting celebrations and vernacular architecture. As a native of South Louisiana, his environment was a rich French culture combined with the influence of many talented painters, sculptors and photographers from the region. Later, his subjects expanded to portraiture, cultural studies, landscapes, markets and the wine-making industry.
