Publisher Description
Alodia, a nanny/governess, comes home just to find out that her twin sister Alyana committed suicide. She finds out the reason behind it and decides to avenge her death by playing a game with her sister’s boyfriend, impersonating her. She seduces him and makes a video of his sexcapade and sends it to all the contacts in his phonebook.
She does the same to all other men until she meets Romanian gypsy man Harman in Bucharest Airport. He hints that he likes her, and she is never the one who backs down. She gives him her number and she goes out with him on several dates until they build a relationship.
She is confused about her feelings for him while she keeps reminding herself that she’s only playing a game with him, just like she does with other men starting from her sister’s boyfriend. She is afraid to fall in love with Harman for real. However, she becomes territorial when Laili, Harman’s childhood friend who’s engaged with him, comes into the picture.
She often sleeps with her boyfriend but she never tells him that she loves him. She’s always holding back and in self-denial about her real feelings. Then, Harman brings her along to Vaslui to introduce her to his family. However, only a couple of them—Fairuza and Mala— accepts her because the rest likes Laili, the only daughter of the gypsy king, to be his wife.
After she hears the story that Harman is going to be forever shunned by the gypsy community, not only by his clan—if he’s not going to marry Laili—she decides to leave him. She accepts another contract as a governess in Iaşi so she will never see Harman in Bucharest any more. She makes friends with her employer Nicoleta and takes care of her son Nicu. Even though she is heart-broken, her employer who just loses her husband takes her in and is there for her when she miscarries her baby.
After three years, Harman finds her but she still wants to stay away from him as possible, thinking that he’s already married to Laili. When she misses to pick up Nicu from school, he sends him home; and the next day, she receives flowers from a delivery man that Harman has hired.
She is still confused why he’s doing it and just when she thinks that he’s going to follow her to school, he doesn’t.—only to find out when she gets back that he contacts Laili so the latter will talk to her and clear things out. She and Laili have a talk, told her that she never married Harman and she herself becomes an outcast of the gypsy community as well, like Harman and Mala.
Then, Harman appears behind her and Laili leaves them to talk. She explains why she left him then and she tells him about their lost baby. He says he forgives her but she has to make up for it for the years that they have lost by making love with her all night. And he proposes to marry her, which she accepts and promises that she will never leave him again.
