Too theoretical
The author starts off talking about how easy this is, but spends the first quarter of the book talking about concepts, except it doesn't succeed in giving an academician's perspective, yet it dwells on things in an abstract way. If you want a DIY type book, this is not it. It's like the guy is thinking out loud. Let me give you an analogy. If I buy a how to tile your floor book, I expect "Buy the following items at the hardware store... First prepare the floor by... Next prepare the mortar by... Etc". An academic version for architects might be "There are 3 different types of mortar with different curing and hold coefficients... ". Then there is this book's style "Yeah, tiling your floor is really easy, say you buy some Mickey Mouse mortar (by the way, this doesn't exist, it's just an example), and you apply it, and there is a drying time of 5 hours, now then you wait, you see? It used to be that people didn't wait, but now they do, cause its considered better form...". In the end you can read through 100 pages and learn nothing useful.
