Cold As Ice

After everything that happened over the holidays, private investigator Mika Chalmers needs some space - and she gets it in the form of a reunion of sorts.

The NHL Irvine Buccaneers have been around since 1989 and their 32 year anniversary is coming up. Every year, Mika gets an invitation to attend the intimate reunion of the alumni due to being the current coach's daughter but rejects it because high heels and small talk are things she would rather avoid.

This time, however, she decides to accept. What else does she have to do for New Year's? It's definitely not moping over a frustrating, arrogant, jerk of a detective.
