𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐔𝐒 is the fourth book in The Wilder Brothers series by Carrie Ann Ryan which is Elijah and Maddie's story.

Elijah and Maddie have had feelings for each other forever but for reasons they have never acted on those feelings. When a storm forces them to have to hide out in a hotel for the night, their relationship takes a turn but the ghosts from the past may be too much.

Elijah and Maddie are fun but their demons keep getting in between them until they both finally break and eventually mend together. I really enjoy the found family that the Wilders and their partners have created at Wilder Wines and Retreat and can not wait for more of this group.

Jason Clarke and Andi Arndt are always a great selection and pair for any audiobook and they both did a great job with this book.

Get ready for... military, friends to lovers, workplace, hurt/comfort, only one bed, close proximity, found family, grief/loss, and dual first-person point of view.

Elijah absolutely destroyed my heart. His painstaking journey of healing from losing the love of his life seeped into my bones and I wanted nothing more than to wrap him up in a huge hug and protect him. Carrie is a complete genius with her ability to write with such compassion and understanding. The love between Elijah and Maddie was so organic but required the courage to take a leap of faith to embrace and nurture. I literally cheered for Elijah when he opened himself to Maddie and the reality that he can have more than one true love connection in life.

What a wonderful, heart wrenching, smorgasbord of emotions we have served up in this latest Wilder adventure! While the first three books plucked our heartstrings and played us a symphony of emotions, Maddie and Elijah’s story was almost too much! We have watched Maddie fall in love with Elijah before. Watched her heart break when she chose to be his friend as he fell in love with someone else. When tragedy struck and he lost his love, she was there for him again, knowing he would never love her. Then fate steps in and the roller coaster starts up again! You hold your breath as they climb aboard.

This book has it all and I couldn’t put it down! Then that ending … my heart!
