Publisher Description
Complicate Me is book one of Reid and Sienna’s duet and book one in the Hawthorn Hills Duet Series. A two-part, angst-filled, slow-burn, epic love story. Complicate Me must be read before Complete Me in order to enjoy the full story.
Life at its simplest is still complicated.
Reid Bowen is her brother’s best friend and the biggest womanizer on campus. She has no business wanting him.
Sienna Parker is forbidden and the sweetest fruit he can never taste. But if he can’t have her, no one can.
Forced together by a road trip home, it will not only test their patience, but also their resolve to stay away from each other.
Bound by their past, it’s the complicated that changes their lives.
The Hawthorn Hills Duet Series follows eight couples. Each two-book duet must be read in order to enjoy the couple’s full story, but the series can be read in any order. You’ll find angst-filled, slow-burn, epic love stories along with topical storylines and some amazingly real and raw characters.

Complicate me
Enjoyed the book but hate, absolutely hate the cliff hanger at the end.
Amazing book! This is a must read series
**Note: this is book one of a duet and ends in a cliff-hanger, read Complete Me for the wonderful ending of Sienna and Reid’s story.**
I read a sample of this book (the first 2 chapters) and instantly pre-order both in the duet, counting down to release day. Siblings best friend is one of my favourite tropes and the history, chemistry, and banter Sienna and Reid share is perfect.
Sienna and Reid (along with Sienna’s twin Caleb) have known each other since the were young kids; but over the years, these two have grown disconnected and Sienna hates Reid and how he treats her by ‘protecting’ her for Caleb. They have no choice but to share a road trip home from college to see Caleb and it forces them to open up to one another and discover things they chose to hide. There were some emotional points in this book, especially as the layers of the main characters begin to be pulled back.
Although cliff-hangers are difficult at times, I really enjoyed how this story left you with an ‘OMG’ moment and then a ‘no way’ and ‘what happens next?!?!?’.
I could not wait to see where part two will go and how it will all unfold.
5 Stars – one of my favourite couples from this author.
