The signs for an increased political will for compromise before we had received the recommendations have been now replaced with a new climate created by the Macedonian authorities that "one should not be too optimistic" and that "the name is not at all a condition for receiving the date for starting negotiations". Is Macedonia going to try to close down the dispute over the name by December or is it going to go for a second Greek veto? Are we going to manage to solve the question completely or only some parts of it, and first of all, are the ones related to the identity going to stay frozen? Can we expect a real, strong international pressure for a final resolution or are the United States and Europe gong to be "pleased" with only a declarative rapprochement of the two sides?
