CrayVox

CrayVox combines an Atlas of thirty islands from the Houtman Abrolhos archipelago (which is located some one hundred kilometres off the West Australian coast) with thirty delicious recipes for Crayfish. During 2011 I lived for several months in isolated Cray fishing communities, preparing material for a large sound-sculpture art-work for the Space(d) Biennale of Art (Fremantle Western Australia 2012). I combined my island research with trips to several locations in Asia, following the live Crayfish export trade, meeting importers and visiting restauranteurs, fish auctions and Crayfish affectionados.  This volume accompanied my large-scale sound sculpture and now appears in an electronic version.
