This book was an interesting read for the most part. I enjoyed the fact that it was several short stories that you could start and finish if you just had a few minutes to kill. My biggest problem with it however was the several spelling and grammar mistake throughout the book which made it hard to follow at times. I’m not sure if that was due to how the book was transferred to an electronic format, but regardless there was 20+ very obvious mistakes which took away from the seriousness of the book. My second problem, which may be due to me not researching the book thoroughly before purchasing, was that 90% of the cases are from Oregon. I bought this book thinking it would be a collection from all over the country but there may have been only 2-3 that came from different states. I live nowhere near Oregon but I could probably recite 10 counties at this point. Lastly, I am obviously quite desensitized, but I found some of the cases dealt more with the court proceedings rather than the actual gruesome details of the case which I would’ve liked more of. Altogether, I was able to finish it and had some excitement towards reading each new chapter, but would’ve enjoyed more variety in the cases and details, as well as a more thorough proofreading.
