Cunning and Compromise

Mr. Darcy's world turns on its head as he discovers at the Netherfield ball that he has misjudged everyone's motives: Mr. Wickham is more honorable, Miss Bingley more conniving, and Miss Elizabeth more resentful than he'd given any of them credit for.

Caroline Bingley views the Netherfield Ball as the perfect opportunity to demonstrate her skills as a hostess to Mr. Darcy. If that fails to elicit a proposal … well, Caroline was prepared for that contingency too. When Mr. Darcy wanders into her trap, will he be forced into marriage?
